Bowel Gas can be uncomfortable when it begins to cause pain, flatulence or distension. Gas in the small intestine or colon is often due to fermentation of food by bacteria in the bowel. - Ginger – as a kind stimulant, ginger helps to improve digestion, stimulate blood flow; thus aiding the expelling of gas built up in the bowels.
- Peppermint – similar in its actions to ginger and very fragrant and flavorful. Peppermint is a good match for some persons for removing bowel gas. There are other mints such as black mint that will provide the same effect
- Bentonite clay – similar in its operation to activated charcoal, clay can provide relief from gas
